In the 21th century the technology is based in the computer softwares. The intellectual creation based in a software can be and should be protected by the registration in the right place for that (in Brazil the official place is the INPI - Industrial Property National Institute). The registration guaranties a exclusive date, title and object that proves that the owner is who file the application in first place. Also, the rights of the softwares' owner can be transfer since the software is already registrated at the INPI. The software application can be request by a company or a single person.

The documents and informations needed to elaborate and file a software application in Brazil are:

	Company Articles documents and amendments (if the application is requested by the company);
	Inventor's Document of authorization/cession of rights (if the application is requested by the company);
	Copy of the ID Card, Taxpayer's identification and complete qualification of the author with address proof;
	Power of Attorney (Provided by our company).
